Collection: SOLAR ECLIPSES

On Saturday, October 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse will occurred. A total solar eclipse will take place almost six months later, on Monday, April 8, 2024.

The Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky, in partnership with MyTexasGift.com, has created two t-shirts to celebrate these two eclipses.

My Texas Gift will donate half of the profits generated from the sales of this t-shirt to the Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization dedicated to protect our view of the stars at night, minimizing light pollution by working with businesses, government, and the community at large.

The City of Blanco officially became an International Dark Sky Community on April 2022. At that time, Blanco became the 5th International Dark Sky Community in the Texas Hill Country, the 37th International Night Sky Community in the entire world! There are now 40+ IDSCs worldwide and at least six in Texas.
